Best-selling Geely EX2 to make Australian debut at 2026 Melbourne Motor Show.

The highly anticipated Geely EX2 all-electric hatchback will make its first local appearance at Melbourne Motor Show as the brand’s hero display, offering showgoers an exclusive first look at an overseas example of the upcoming model before it hits showrooms in the third quarter of 2026.

The electric car was the best-selling vehicle in the Chinese domestic market in 2025, selling over 460,000 units throughout the year and maintaining the top sales position for seven consecutive months.

Joining the Geely EX2 on the stand will be a sedan and SUV model, both of which are currently being considered as additions to the local model range. True to Geely’s commitment to meeting Australian market needs, the brand will gather real user feedback on the models to inform its future product strategy.

Geely’s display will be rounded out by the existing Geely model lineup – the recently updated Geely EX5 all-electric SUV and the Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV. Both models continue to go from strength to strength, with each model placing in the top 3 and top 5 best-selling EVs and PHEVs respectively in 2026 YTD*. In the 12 months since Geely’s launch in March 2025, over 6,600 units have been delivered across the two models.
